Design Principles:
- Images cropped the same size for repetition and consistency in display.
- Bold font selected and in some cases used varied font sizes (concordant).
- When adjusting the size of the font the kerning was also adjusted to give a more complete look and feel.
- Care and thought was given to the placement of the text on each of these images. I wanted to bring in vibrant color, and still create a balanced visual.
Photoshop Steps:
- Open the image in photoshop. Crop it to the desired size.
- Select the Text tool.
- Select desired font.
- Type desired text in black.
- Place text on the image where desired.
- With text still selected, in the blending options select "soft light."
- Select the outside area of the text.
- Add adjustment layer "solid color." Make sure it is white.
- Adjust the opacity.
