Photoshop GIFS
Overview: The purpose of this exhibit is to demonstrate my ability to create GIFs in Photoshop.
Design Principles: Other than being sure the camera was stable and the environment for the photos was simple, there was not a lot of design principles being utilized here. The use of animation is a good way to grab viewers attention. I'll bet they watch the entire gif, maybe even a few times.
Photoshop Skills: To create this GIF I shot multiple photos being careful to stabilize the camera so when combined the transitions were seamless. I edited the lighting of each photo using Bridge, and then selecting all 11 photos, I opened them in one Photoshop document on several layers. From there I opened the Timeline feature, selected the images I would like included in the animated frame, and selected the amount of time I would like each image to show. From there I saved the psd file as a gif. This was a really fun project!
